The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has not supported the draft resolution on abolition of results of the voting for the Law on election of Kryvyi Rih city mayor, which banned the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada from signing this Law.
In turn, Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Groysman expressed readiness to sign the Law on election in the city of Kryvyi Rih.
"The Resolution obtained 40 votes. That means that the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada has legal right to sign this Law. I will do it in keeping my promise," Groysman said commenting on the voting for the Resolution.
Earlier, the Chairperson of the Ukrainian Parliament had reminded that the Resolution was registered on the day of the voting for the Law on city mayoral election in Kryvyi Rih and made the signature of this Law by the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada impossible.
He also reminded he had promised to sign the Law on election in Kryvyi Rih once the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine eyes the Resolution on cancellation of results of the voting for this Law.
Groysman criticized some people's deputies, who called for signature of the Law before the decision on this Resolution, as it contradicted the legislation.
